Karate Sculpture Robot

A robotic sculpture built to perform karate moves — yes, really. I built this in collaboration with artist Hugo Knox — I handled the mechanical design, electronics, sensors, and C++ control system; Hugo did the exterior sculpture. Together we exhibited it live as an interactive art installation to over 300 people. It was a fun challenge to combine custom motion control with something that actually looks good moving.
